The Ivorian constitution stipulates in its article 18 that: "The protection of the environment and the promotion of the quality of life are a duty for the community and every individual and corporation".
Since animals belong to our natural environment it is therefore clear that by this article that the Ivorian legislation guarantees the considerations that motivate the work of MAEP for the Protection of animals in Côte d'Ivoire and Africa.
