Today some young pupils in Côte d’Ivoire are concerned about the extinction of the species and the plight of the animals thanks to the impact of the program “let us give a value to the animals world” and the support of some partners but especially the World Society for the Protection of Animals - WSPA of which MAEP is member since 2005.
However it remains a lot to do for the welfare of the animals in Côte d’Ivoire and Africa.
It is what motivates, for the next year, the association MAEP to visit many more schools in Abidjan and also to give a media spirit to the program "let us give a value to the Animals’ world".
Indeed the participation of MAEP’s club members in radio or television programs and the diffusion of their activity on Internet via our website will certainly touch many more people in Côte d'Ivoire and in the world but it requires more mobility and greater financial resources.
We also wish to create in Côte d’Ivoire, the first shelter for animals in distress able to offer care and an adequate food to the animals collected in the streets of Abidjan
while giving opportunity to children of the street, phenomenon expanding in Ivory Coast because of growing poverty, to live a unique experiment in the world. By allowing to these children to attend the animals of the shelter and practice some activities in touch with the care of the animals and follow small job training, and programs of alphabetisation to insert them in an itinerary driving to their personal, social and professional autonomy.
This to show to the people of Côte d’Ivoire and Africa oe even the world that the suffering of the human is inseparable of those of the animals and that the fact to struggle against one or the other one participates has return to make our society more humane.
It is thus thanks to your trust that we will be able to take up all these challenges and deploy all the means necessary to ensure their success.
